After losing their season opener to Florida 6-2 last night, the Bulls will send freshman Ray Delphey to the hill for his first career start today at 2 p.m. in the second game of a three-game set in Gainesville.

Junior Randy Fontanez, the Big East Preseason Pitcher of the Year, gave up six earned runs in 6.2 innings while striking out five in the loss Friday.

The Gators hit three homers Friday.  Florida will also send of freshman to the mound Saturday in lefthander Brian Johnson, who was drafted in the 27th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers in last June’s MLB draft.
