USF completed a three-game sweep of Georgetown after winning the series finale 8-2 on Sunday.

The Bulls, now 8-1 in conference games, moved into sole possession of first place after coming into the weekend tied with Rutgers and Louisville in conference standings.

All three starters — junior Randy Fontanez, junior Andrew Barbosa, and senior Matt Quevedo — pitched well and earned wins this weekend, with Quevedo getting the win Sunday after giving up an earned run in 5.1 innings.

Sophomore Stephen Hunt hit a three-run homer in the third to put USF 3-0.

USF is off until Friday, when it travels to Rutgers for a three-game series.
